REPUBLICANS CONTINUE TO SELF-DESTRUCT

The Republicans Try To Make Their Case for Staying in Iraq

The leading Republican presidential candidates said yesterday that the military escalation in Iraq "appeared" to be restoring stability, and they berated their Democratic counterparts for advocating an end to American involvement there.

The FACT is:

U.S. troop deaths have decreased because they are engaging in far fewer operations than in the past. It is only another deception by our government to make us think we are "winning the Bush war", but hundreds of Iraqi civilians continue to die every day, thanks to George Bush, his transparent hoax and subsequent incompetence.

The Republicans, like their laughable cowboy leader, are desperately trying to maintain the survival of their party and the George W. Bush legacy, as well as their own at the expense of more of our dead kids and the continued slaughter of civilians ("collateral damage") while the Iraqi government takes their vacation time for a month. U.S. Congressmen are taking their own vacations while the carnage continues.

One wonders how the families of all the dead and wounded feel about the our Commander-in Chief who is also taking HIS vacation for the month of August along with the Iraqis. Our own under-concerned Congressmen take off every Saturday and Sunday AND one week off every month AND the entire month of August yet they malign the Iraqis for the same thing!

What's that all about?

With this casual attitude during the one of worst times in our history, it seems almost certain that we are slowly collapsing and nobody will notice until we have another retribution via a dirty bomb, chemical attack, biological attack or more bombings. What does it take for Americans to pay attention and stand up to these "home grown WMDs" we call "politicians?"

We don't have to worry about terrorists "following us home." We have our own terrorists right here in the United States Congress and the White House to bring our country down.
