White House warns against Armenia resolution

WASHINGTON - President Bush strongly urged Congress on Wednesday to reject legislation that would declare the World War I-era killings of hundreds of thousands of Armenians a "genocide", saying it would do “great harm” to relations with Turkey, a key ally in the Iraq war.

TEHRAN - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad rejects notion that the World War II-era killings of 6 million Jews should be called a "genocide", and saying the "Holocaust" should be investigated regarding the justification of the Germans.

Interesting that the only genocides worthy of mention lately, are the Jews and Armenians.

History is replete with genocides.

What about the Christian white folks that slaughtered hundreds of thousands of American Indians and stole their entire country OR the 13 million that Stalin killed beginning in 1934 OR the 11 million that Mao Tze Dong killed OR the 11 million that Tojo killed in 1941-1944 OR the millions of Central and South American natives the Spanish slaughtered beginning in the 1400s?

Genocide is man's historic way of eliminating opposing socio-religious
groups. We haven't advanced any farther than Ghengis Khan or Hitler, so what's the big deal?
