ZIONISM AND THE MIDDLE EAST - Part 1


This multi-phased treatise is an objective and documented analysis of present and past discord existent in the Middle East.

It will address the underlying and basic reasoning behind the hatred and rejection of a Jewish state right in the middle of the Middle East region of the world by its surrounding neighbors.

Definitions of terms:

"Zionism" - the concept that Jews have a right to their own sovereign country.

"Jews" are an ethnoreligious group in which ethnicity, nationality, and religion are strongly interrelated.

Judaism is their traditional faith. "Judaism" is a set of beliefs and practices originating in the Hebrew Bible (Tanakh).


"Ethnoreligious" refers to an ethnic group of people whose members are also unified by a common religious background with emphasis on religious endogamy.

"Endogamy" is the practice of marrying within a social group, rejecting others based solely on culture, religion, language and behavior, as being unsuitable for marriage or other close personal relationships.
