THE UNITED STATES OF HYPOCRISY

“HYPOCRISY”

noun:

1. the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.

Synonyms: dissimulation, false virtue, posturing, affectation, speciousness, empty talk, insincerity, falseness, deceit, dishonesty, mendacity, pretense, duplicity
In World War II, the Allies saw how effective poisonous gases could be, and started using them.

Both sides went on to use phosgene, a choking agent, and mustard gas, which causes painful burns and blisters. By the end of the Great War — dubbed by historians "the chemists' war" — more than 90,000 soldiers had been killed by poison gas, many succumbing only after days or weeks of agony. A million more were injured — many blinded for life.

The world's horror led the League of Nations in 1925 to draft the Geneva Protocol, banning chemical weapons in war and declaring that their use "has been justly condemned by the general opinion of the civilized world."

Most nations signed on immediately but the U.S. did not, until 1975, (50 years later).

CIA director William Webster said in Senate testimony back in 1989: "West European firms were instrumental in supplying the required precursor chemicals and equipment to manufacture chemical and biological weapons."

In the 1980s, German and French companies were crucial in building poison gas plants in Iraq and Libya.

100s of tons of nerve agents remain in Colorado and Kentucky to this day.

Russia is scheduled to complete its destruction of chemical weapons stockpiles by 2015, eight years before the US.

SO WHY DID PRESIDENT OBAMA PROMOTE ATTACKS ONLY ON SYRIA?

Is President Obama trying to start a Middle Eastern regional war where Israel (with their 100 undeclared nukes) together with the United States (the world’s largest cache of chemical weapons and nukes) can continue to foment civil wars in resource rich countries to satisfy our thirst for oil and more and more natural resources?

Syria is not witnessing a battle for democracy, but an armed conflict between government and opposition in a multi-religious country. There are few champions of democracy in Syria.

Syria has shown the world it's not a terrorist-friendly country and that it is willing to destroy the WMDs that are so repugnant to the "civilized" world. Will Israel show the same cooperation?

Syria began stockpiling chemical weapons in the 1970s and '80s, after losing three consecutive wars to Israel. The Syrians saw chemical weapons as "the poor man's nuclear weapon'' — as a last resort to counter Israel's military superiority and nuclear arsenal (over 100 operable nuclear weapons).

No one doubts that poison gas was used in Syria. But there is every reason to believe it was used not by the Syrian Army, but by opposition forces, to provoke intervention by their powerful foreign patrons.

AND HERE IS THE ULTIMATE HYPOCRISY: The United States State has designated Al Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, (“the opposition”) as terrorist organizations yet the United States is supplying arms and sophisticated weaponry to them.”

The United States must stop using the language of hypocrisy and lethal military force and return to the path of civilized diplomatic and political settlement.

Millions around the world increasingly see America not as a model of democracy by relying solely on brute force, hastily cobbling coalitions together, under the battle cry: "you're either with us or against us”:
