Why are we where we are?

Not to be smug or say, “I told you so,” but this existential state of the Union was all sooooooooooo predictable. Please read our blog of May 11, 2017.

Now fast forward to today:  Why are we where we are?

Americans' understanding of the existential threat to our way of life and our democracy  actually depends on how we comprehend and understand the English language.

Politicians and "entertainment news" pundits are skewing our language to suit a huge variety of profit motives by deliberately offering personal interpretations and ambiguity through misuse of the language.
